Live Music: Jerome Monaco (feat. Brent Martens)

Jerome Monaco is a Portland-based singer-songwriter/guitarist known for incorporating strong grooves, tasty licks and supple fingerstyle rhythms underpinned by bossanova influences and a beautiful etherealism.  He enjoys playing in open guitar tunings and exploring all the fretboard has to offer, drawing natural comparisons to artists Bob Dylan, Robyn Hitchcock and Steely Dan.

Joining Jerome this evening is special guest guitarist Brent Martens, a sought-after musical collaborator in both live and studio settings.  Brent is best known for playing lead guitar with Willamette Week’s “Best New Band” Ural Thomas & The Pain, alongside many other Portland luminaries.
