Hailing from Southern Oklahoma, Douglas Allen straddles lines and in-between places. Finding the exquisite in heartbreak and the human search for connection, this ex-Baptist preacher uses the tension of big feelings, channeling them into the strings of his guitar. His voice is one part whiskey and two parts honey; like a tonic to soothe the raw intensity of his gritty melodies and heartfelt guitar playing. He blurs the lines between folk, blues, and soul, creating a sound at once both fresh and classic Americana.
